Till date, a total of 13 children (12 girls and 1 boy), who came as infants, have been married-off and relocated to the mainstream society. This is the magic of VatsalyaGram…someone who was abandoned at childhood was loved and cared for, nurtured, educated, empowered and supported to the point where they embark upon their own individual journeys as part of the mainstream society.

Started in 2016 with an endeavour to educate and rehabilitatethe marginalized and out-of-School children of the under- served SC/ST/OBC communities, this program currently has 50+ girls (age group of 7-15 years) as its beneficiaries.
The project girls are provided with independent dormitories and thus are resident beneficiaries. Obtaining formal education from our on-campus Primary a lot has changed for these girls. Staying in hygienic conditions with proper toilet/ sanitation facilities, being provided the nutrition essential for this age group (3 full meals and 1 snack every day) and potable water, having access to health care, and being groomed and obtaining formal education, these girls are being empowered and educated to help them gain greater control of their lives.
The Vatsalya Eye Camps – our Community Health’ initiative – are being organized at VatsalyaGram-Vrindavanfor well over a decade now. These Camps bring in team a specialized team Eye Specialists / Surgeons from Mumbai, who selfless perform surgeries to restore eyesight of thousands ofimpoverished community members every year.
Each campscreens and offers consultancy to 300-500 impoverished elderly, while around 300 patients are operated upon (by a team of leading Eye Specialists / Surgeons from Mumbai). During these Camp, all facilities incl. stay, food, etc. are provided completely FREE, not only to the patientsbut also to their attendants.
This skilling for livelihood’ initiative endeavours to assist young girls and women, especially those of the host communities, to become self-reliant by expanding their livelihood opportunities. The project beneficiaries are also encouraged and additionally provided access to the Computer Lab that is part of the Expert School, to help them obtain functional computer literacy to maximize their chances for gainful employment.
Women emerge equipped with the ability to get gainful employment or start their own micro-enterprises.500+ young girls & women benefit every year from this initiative.
Started in August-2014, Vaishishtyam is our Care-cum-Rehabilitation Centre for children with special needs& disabilities within the 52-acre VatsalyaGram-Vrindavan campus. The Centre currently serves around 150 children (age group of 6-30 years) with different disorders such as Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Speech / Hearing Impairment, other learning disabilities etc. The primary objective of this program is to reduce the external dependency of these children and help them achieve a higher level of self- sufficiency.
Some of these children were abandoned at VatsalyaGram, probably due to their disability/deformity. The program was actually established when the number of such children reached a point where having a dedicated program for their care and treatment became a must. All these children are now part of the big, loving Vatsalya family. For the other children (non- resident beneficiaries), Vaishishtyam serves as a day-care Centre that offers professional caregivers rendering personal care to its inmates.
Managed by a passionate & trained team of special educators, caregivers and support staff, Vaishishtyamis well-equipped with all relevant infrastructure viz., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Vocational Training, Resource Rooms etc.
